You pretty much nailed the areas.

I work in brickell right by the AAA. All the south Florida money is in brickell, south beach, fisher island, star island, and the gables. That is the Heat crowd that goes to the games and the arena sits right there on the bay.

Sunrise is middle income suburbia. Same as Lauderdale and west palm where it pulls it's hockey fans from.

And Marlins park was the right location for it as well. Easy drive from downtown and brickell and could pull from little Havana and Doral. Loria just fricked everyone over. I went to a bunch of Marlins games the first half of the season the first year. It was great. I would buy the $40 tickets to get into the clevelander, drink with buddies, eat, watch the girls in bikinis and bathing suits swim in the pool, talk to chicks, etc. It was fun as hell. Now it sucks because it is dead since the stadium is dead because no one wants to watch a bunch of minor league guys they don't know.

Also, I will add Miami is never going to be a sports town that really supports a shitty team. Too many other options.

I'm a good example. There are literally about 50 bars, restaurants, clubs and casinos I like to go to here between the gables and Lauderdale. And I only have so much free time to get out any given week or weekend. So I'm going to pick whatever I think will be the most fun and it isn't Marlins games in a dead almost empty ballpark even though I enjoy baseball and have been goin to mlb games a long time.
