sure ya did

you wouldnt sign it because actions have consequences. not any of this bullshite about past present or future. i dont wanna hear youd "be a good boi" goin forward and its only about things you will say or do, its not. that clause, by ommission, doesnt rule out something from the past coming back to haunt you. it doesnt specify what could be considered detriments. its an open ended, ambiguous, absolute landmine of a clause that hasnt been pushed on anyone else in nfl history and they should fight it tooth and nail rather than get robbed down the line.

the bigger problem here is youve got 20k posts in 5 yrs.

he cant. he demands you give him 30 examples of things that could cost the guy millions, says its all stupid shite as if that has any bearing whatsoever on the circumstances that could be called into play, and knows full well he wouldnt sign something given to him from his employer that would call his character into question specifically while none of his peers would be expected to.

he should be waterboarded for this.

I don’t have to. If you have to question it, it’s probably best not to do it.

Are you back to saying Stewart isn’t capable of understanding that? Or not responsible enough?

Simple question then, you’d sign a contract with this provision in it? Yes or no question.

Oh I fully agree that if I wasn’t confident in my ability to not do stupid shite, this is definitely something I’m not signing.

Let’s hear some examples of these ambiguous actions then. do you disagree that “shutting up and playing football” would be a good way to avoid any issues?

you making a tweet you think is benign but the team doesn't. You engaging in conduct that isn't illegal but possibly embarrassing if portrayed a certain way. You getting into a verbal argument with someone in private but someone records it, chops it, and posts it online. Politics is another dicey area that could potentially become a problem. There have been plenty of public figures completely blacklisted over what others view as a controversial or "wrong" political opinion. A team could say that conduct was detrimental because of the public backlash.

No, I don't, because people live their lives outside of their jobs

Not getting the Covid vaccine leading to a contract getting voided would put tacky sweater in a fricking blender

I might. But if it was going to increase my wealth by as much as it is for Stewart, I’d probably deal with it. I have no problem not doing stupid shite though.

Not if you didn’t have to, which is kind of the whole point

What’s the text of the argument? And what’s the text of the edited version?

You know a good way to avoid that? Don’t make any political statements. Crazy, I know!!

I might want to cash in while I can. What hypothetical job are we creating for this example of me signing the contract?
