Fun fact, Jacksonville is the largest city, area wise, in the lower 48. The top 4 are all in Alaska.

That's just because they incorporated the entire county. If Miami did that it would have twice the population.

It don't stop the fact that Jacksonville is the largest city in Florida population wise and the largest city in the Southeast all the way until you reach Texas which is considered southwest but is still the South. It has a larger population than Miami, Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Charlotte, New Orleans, Nashville, Memphis, D.C., Baltimore, Louisville, and so on. That is when comparing city to city population. But when you add in suburbs (Metro areas) and surrounding areas some other cities are larger.
