The WVU admin tried desperately for the ACC a number of times before the Big 12 called. Thanks for doing us a favor though. The ACC is where we always wanted to be.

Do you not remember your Governor McConnell getting involved and trying to take the Big 12 spot? WVU certainly would have been accepted to the ACC before you had they not already moved to the Big 12

Already too many Texas schools in big 12. They need to expand market.

Exactly! That's the reason they were hesitant to add TCU. I could see the Big 12 adding Tulane before they add SMU or Houston.

It would be great for recruiting. "You can come home and play in Yulman in front of all your friends and family."

But Tulane still needs to elevate its football (or MBB) program so we can add value to the conference. Otherwise they're not going to come calling.

University of Cincinnati is a possibility. Big TV market and a natural rival of WVU.

how about BYU?

no matter what, they really need to get back to 12 teams (or even 14) and have a playoff...

I still think TAMU should have stayed in the Big 12. They would have had an easier path to the the playoffs in the Big 12. But Texas in their arrogance and the Aggies in their spite did this.

A Big 12 with the current members and the Aggies and another school like Colorado State or an alliance with ND would have been better.
