Raftery is awesome

He'll bark something out like a dog and scare you!

Verne is awful, and he is just so freaking loud that you can't ignore him. It's like you are listening to Verne with a basketball game in the background. I will be elated when he retires. It should become a national holiday.

He is failing miserably. Maybe it is entertaining for casual sports fans; I don't know. I would rather my wife talk to me the whole game than listen to him.

i dont mind it over a truly great play but shite heads like dickie v ruin games because they can't shut up and they yell the whole damn time

I agree that Verne is better at basketball than football. As bad as he is on football broadcasts, I think he's even worse on golf broadcasts. If you put all of Verne's broadcasting duties together, he's miles worse than Raftery. At least Raftery is worth a laugh once in a blue moon; you can't say that about Verne.
