1985 Craig James was the last to do it ...

In the 90's Mike Alstott came close one year @ 949 ; but split carries in TB w Warrick Dunn

Keith Lincoln was the Christian McCaffrey of his era, a running and receiving threat in the AFL in the 1960s who averaged 4.5 yards per rush and 13.6 yards per catch in his career. In 1963 he led the AFL with 6.5 yards per carry and put up 329 total yards running and receiving in that year's AFL championship game. highlights from that game "Blocked"

I don't think Van Buren is white. From his Wikipedia page (below)..
"Van Buren was born in Honduras, orphaned young, and moved to New Orleans, becoming a legendary Philadelphia Eagles running back and the first Hall of Famer of Hispanic descent."
