I've heard him speak english before. He has a pretty thick accent and it's hard to understand.
Personally, I'm pulling for him because I like his style on the course. He smokes 2 packs a round, probably sips on a flask of tequila, and is known for being one of the fastest players on the tour. That's how golf should be played(substitute a cigar if you're not a big smoker).
