I have not heard of any bats being banned for youth and high school baseball.

I would think this bat would make it hard for the defense to pick the ball up off the bat giving an advantage to the hitter.

Why do softball leagues ban certain bats? Are any bats banned for high school and youth baseball rather than softball?

in the last league i played in bats that were rated "120" were illegal....that meant that the ball could come off the bat at 120 mph

"98" rated bats were legal

wouldnt that have more to do with the power/speed of the bat swing, than the bat?

This is more of the answer I was looking for. Thanks.

Like another poster asked, wouldnt that have more to do with the bat speed of the batter?

Also, has anyone heard of bats being banned because of color like the one posted?

do a google search for banned baseball bats.

I know bats like the wide barrel bats that LSU used to play gorilla ball with are now banned.

Easton z core comes to mind.

They are banned because of the danger of the ball coming off the bat squaring up on a pitchers face

I would assume they measure the speed off the bat with a mechanical pitch and swing so everything else is equal.
