Incredibly stupid thread. I grew up about an hour and a half from Talladega and I could literally count the number of people that regularly followed or talked about NASCAR on one hand. The idea that more than 10% of the population of even the more popular NASCAR areas truly follow and care about the sport is one of the most ridiculous stereotypes of the many ridiculous stereotypes about the South.
