Wayne Madkin
quote:
Well, the former Mississippi State quarterback lives in Birmingham and oversees the “Signal Caller Foundation” that he started back in 2006.
The mission of the foundation is to “educate high school and college students and student athletes on financial and personal wellness throughout their lives . . . Many of our students and student athletes are missing the blueprint to success after sports and graduation in their respective fields. Our plan is to help eliminate this disparity of knowledge by empowering all students to take control of their financial future and personal health.”

Has a pic of Tim Couch been posted? Probably the QB I was most wrong about in College football history. I thought he was a lock to be an NFL stud.

Jay Barker (born July 20, 1972[1]) is a former American football and Canadian football quarterback, and currently a Birmingham, Alabama radio personality.
Barker's football career began at Hewitt-Trussville High School in Trussville, Alabama. He graduated in 1990.
Barker played college football at The University of Alabama, where he led the Crimson Tide to 35 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie (the best record of any quarterback at Alabama). On January 1, 1993 the Crimson Tide beat the top-ranked Miami Hurricanes in the Sugar Bowl to win a National Championship. Barker won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award in 1994 and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy that year.
In the professional ranks, Barker played with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League, the New England Patriots and the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League, and the Birmingham Thunderbolts of the XFL, which gave him the opportunity to return to his hometown.
He is currently an analyst on ESPN Radio and an on-air personality at WJOX Radio in Birmingham, Alabama as co-host of the Opening Drive program with former Titans placekicker Al Del Greco and veteran disc jockey Tony Kurre.
Throughout his playing and broadcasting careers, Barker has been noted for his Christian faith. [2]
He married country music star Sara Evans on June 14, 2008 in a ceremony officiated by Joe Beam, and has children from a previous marriage of 14 years with Amy Barker. Together, Barker and Evans have seven children, who were all in the wedding. They live in Birmingham, Alabama.

Tim Couch:
quote:
On August 28, 2007, Yahoo! Sports reported that Couch, while attempting to recover from shoulder surgery, unknowingly took anabolic steroids and human growth hormone as part of his daily regimen. HGH are banned by the NFL. Despite Couch's statements that he never took any illegal steroids, the same reports indicate that he did while taking the HGH. Yahoo! Sports reported it had obtained documents from an anonymous source with Couch's name printed across the top that called for extensive use of drugs banned by the league. Couch initially said he had no reservations about working with someone who endorsed the use of drugs banned by the NFL. (In Couch's attempt to come back with the Jaguars he put on 35 pounds of muscle and dropped his body fat to 4%)[5] This also comes months after Couch said he never took HGH, so these statements have now been rebutted. Couch also claims that he passed a drug test just prior to his signing with the Jaguars. The NFL banned Couch for six games of the 2007 season for violating its drug policy. Couch remained unsigned for the 2007 year. He since retired.
quote:
Couch is married to the 1999 Playboy Playmate of the Year, Heather Kozar. He and his wife have a son together, Chase Scott Couch, who was born on August 5, 2005. Couch's son Chase (Scott) is named after Couch's best friend, Scott Brock, who was killed in a widely publicized automobile accident while Couch was at the University of Kentucky. Scott is also Tim's middle name.
