how about mike zimmer? seems like he is due a HC gig and he has some familiarity with jerry. perhaps he is smart enough to stay away.

The question really is "what can the Cowboys do?"
Way over the salary cap, several terrible contracts, no real trade bait, no motivation to change (those seat licenses are sold for decades), and they are just good/bad enough to not get a high draft pick.
They have plateaued at average and will have to get worse before they get better. Might as well burn it down and get started on that process.
