I agree. He’s one of the greatest hitters of our lifetimes. If he played for the Orioles our fans would have statues already built.
But he plays for the Yankees, he hasn’t won a title, and hasn’t played well in the playoffs.
His best postseason was last year… but only over 7 games which means Yankees fans don’t care.
I hope he’ll get his stripes. Just hasn’t yet. Unfortunately has dropped the ball when he’s had the chance

Honestly I can’t think of an all time great who’s own fans haven’t truly accepted them into their all time greats
