I appreciated hearing Bruce A Marshall every Friday on Sports Today. Now, every program on 104.9FM is pushing gambling and point spreads.
Who is pushing this agenda and why ?

You think this is a local BR sports radio thing?
Literally every sports medium is diving head first into gambling.
ESPN and FS1 both have shows dedicated to betting and all the other shows have added gambling aspects to it.

I like the science behind creating point spreads and the analytics of sports matchups but it seems all of a sudden everybody is pushing gambling like it’s an option to financial security.
I don’t gamble and I am not morally against it. It just seems like a media floodgate has been opened during the past three months or so.

A bunch of states legalizing sports gambling has a lot to do with it

So if I am understanding this right, the over abundance of gambling on ESPN/Baton Rouge has come down from the Top brass at The mothership ?
I guess most of us gamble in areas like the lottery or the stock market but I feel dirty listening to mass sports gambling being pushed to the younger generation. It seems like a road you don’t want to go down.

With the amount of PENN I hold, I’m fine with people thinking that.

It's legal in ten states now, so get used to it.

Sports books are being legalized in more and more states every year and in a majority of parishes in Louisiana just recently.
There's a growing market for it.

I mean Hanny and Jimmy Ott have been talking about picks since before Barstool made it mainstream. Best in the business when it comes to BR sportstalk, especially now that Culotta is off the air
