Well yeah, but 99% of udfa kickers aren't that good. That's like saying why draft a QB in the first when you can get a QB like Brady in the 6th.

2nd round picks don't miss game winners like that. Especially after the opposing team tries to freeze him

Not at all.

The last kicker drafted before 2016? Nate Freese in 2014 by the Lions. He was cut after 3 weeks of the regular season. The kickers before that? 2 drafted in 2013 - Caleb Sturgis and Dustin Hopkins. Neither are with the teams that drafted them.

I get your point, but with kickers there is literally no reason to draft them.
