You’d be so mad but there is a real chance of it and the melt will be real

Thanks a lot FOX.
I am wondering if this has ever happened before somewhere else. This is putting a major crimp in tailgate plans
Nicely played

This is correct. 13-0 Wisconsin was in back on September 1st. Nothing has happened to change that.
Now, Ohio State has a realistic chance to get back in.

Notre Dame losing clears any hazard in Wisconsin's path.
Even if you have 2 SEC teams plus Clemson/Miami, Wisconsin would be the 4th team over Oklahoma. Wisconsin would get a win over a common opponent in Ohio State, and I think that would propel them in.
SEC getting two teams looks very unlikely at this point. Only way would be if Alabama finishes 11-1 or 12-1.
Most likely scenario looks like:
SEC champ (Alabama)
ACC champ (Clemson)
Oklahoma
The 4th team is interesting. It's Wisconsin if they win out. But what if Ohio State wins the Big Ten? Are they back in play? Is Notre Dame back in play? Or are we looking at 12-1 Miami if they lose in the ACC a championship game?

Miami wins out, Oklahoma wins out, UGA beats Alabama in the SEC championship. Does Alabama get the nod over Wisky?
good point
just the fact that this scenario still exists and can leave Wisconsin on the edge is beyond amusing

If two of these three win convincingly, it might be Ohio State.

UGA beating a 12-1 Bama could be chaos

i tend to def agree with you but a 12-1 Oklahoma team is beyond attractive especially with Baker as a Heisman lock at this point
Posted on 11/12/17 at 9:03 am to rocket31
Oh for sure, and that’s why I think Bama would be left out
Posted on 11/12/17 at 9:16 am to zzgobucky
Bama easily left out. Easily.
Resume close to Wisconsin.

12-1 Alabama, 12-1 UGA, 12-1 Oklahoma, 13-0 Miami or 12-1 Clemson, and 13-0 Wisconsin would be of concern for Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Alabama. UGA and Miami/Clemson would be in for sure.
If I'm a Wisconsin fan, I'm not comfortable with asking a committee to put me in over Alabama or Oklahoma with Baker. We'll see how much that brand name matters.

It's an interesting scenario
Saban and Bama brand 12-1
OU and Baker brand 12-1
Wisky and B1G brand 13-0
Gotta think Bama gets dropped but is that a lock?

I'd bet money Wisky was in, but I wouldn't bet my life.
I also still believe we're going to get a 1 or 2 loss Wisconsin anyway.

Auburn beats Alabama
Georgia beats Auburn
Ohio State beats Wisconsin
Clemson beats Miami
Oklahoma wins out
Southern Cal wins out
Notre Dame wins out
Georgia, Oklahoma, and Clemson are locks at that point.
Who's your 4th team?
11-2 Ohio State (Big Ten Champ)
12-1 Miami (loss in ACC Championship Game to Clemson)
11-2 Southern Cal (Pac 12 Champ)
10-2 Notre Dame
11-1 Alabama
Does Alabama go ahead of all of those teams because they have one less loss? This would be a shite show scenario.

I think Auburn wins out and goes to the SECCG where it's a toss-up they beat UGA.
And I think Alabama with one loss still gets in.

Alabama losing to Auburn and ducking Georgia and still making the playoff would be incredible content
and like the committee would have no problem doing it because Alabama/Georgia in the playoff wouldn't even be a rematch situation.
