Just wondering what do you think the top talking heads at ESPN make a year? Guys like Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, and Chris Fowler.

I'm sure it's 6 figures but you think any of the TV guys are making 7 figure salaries?

What about Gary and Verne? Or any of the other top guys.

Mostly talking about CFB but I'm sure the NFL broadcasters on CBS and Fox are making more.

Unless a poster is an agent for one of the personalities you mentioned, I wouldn't expect anyone to know with any degree of accuracy.

Yeah, I'm most curious about what they make in relation to each other. Like, Fowler and Tirico have to be up there. Is SVP worth more or less? Was Simmons worth more or less? Berman is a douche, but he has a lot of history. How does that play in?

I think I read once that Hannah Storm makes a cool mil.

Bunch of stuff just like this. It's not really public info so mostly just what people think they make.

Simmons-- Worth more because of additional streams of revenue.

SVP-- probably also more because of his radio show.

Daniel Tosh's ESPN segment stated that Chris Berman makes more than Andrew Luck and Julio Jones

I was pretty surprised when the reports said Simmons wanted 6-ish recently and was getting laughed at. I assumed with all of the input/creativity on Grantland and 30 for 30 that he must be worth like 10 mil. Somebody on here said Grantland really doesn't make much money. Mike and Mike is a mainstream corporate milquetoast money machine.

Whatever Rece makes is too much.

Gruden probably makes a nice chunk but would just be happy with his pre-game bar tab picked up.

Fowler I like - Probably got a raise since he is moving to the booth.

Herbie is ok, probably the highest paid on Gameday now.

Rome is over paid by about $29,950,000.

ETA: I was surprised at Nantz's 5 mil, I would have thought it was more given he's CBS voice for golf, the NFL and NCAA basketball.

Rece is by far the most professional of any of the CFB crew.

He isn't any good though. He went along with that silliness court scene stuff with May and Holtz way too long.

When ESPN had that "BE a SportsCenter anchor" erality show a decade ago, I believe the winner got something like a $50/$60,000 contract, and could then add more to it by answering questions. IIRC, the winner ended up getting his salary up to $80,000 or something like that. So I always figured for them to offer something like that to a brand new host, the older hosts had to make at least that much, with some of the bigger names (like Patrick/Olbermann/etc.) making a lot more.

He just signed an extension, spurring plenty of coaching opportunities that would have paid him at the bare minimum 3 mil a year.
