It shows (the PACs,demise) that this isn't a sport anymore...just a business model to make money for institutions of no longer learning.
The PaaC10 model was built on pure sport motives,and fair competition.
They were getting left out by Conference models built on pure profit and promotion (SEC-ESPN; Big10 by early expansion)....
So PAC10 expanded to 12, chasing dollars to survive and then imploded to jump ship to another Conference that had been chasing dollars since the 90s.

Pitt has played some good football over the years, too.
