I about lost my mind today out at city park. I got stuck starting directly behind two old guys who could barely even walk. So I was thinking it'll be fine they'll let me play through, wrong. I was at the tee box before the even tee'd off on at least 3 holes and the old dudes wouldn't even acknowledge my existence. No eye contact, no anything, I was like a ghost to them. So they continue to hit the ball like 30 yds at a time while barely being able to get to the ball from their cart.
Finally on number 7 (blind drivr over a hill) after waiting on the tee box for a good 5 minutes, I finally gave her a rip. I got a hold of it definitely had some smash factor behind it, but when I go to find my ball it is no where to be found. My ball had apparently caught up to the geysers and they snatched it.
I'm pissed at this point, I ask them where is my ball and they act clueless. So I said frick it, I'm just going to go straight to number 8. After I get about 100 yds from them one yells "here's your ball!" And then proceeded to try and hit it at me, but he was too old and weak so it just dribbled 20yds.
So I walk all the way back, get my ball and proceed to stick it 2 yds from the pin on #8 for my only birdie of the day.
CSB I know. I did my best to be polite, but those old bastards were just some entitled assholes.

If that story is even half true, it's funny. Why didn't you just skip a hole ahead of them early on in the round if they wouldn't acknowledge you?

On one of those first holes where you say you were standing there and they wouldn't acknowledge you, you should've just teed it up and let it rip and walked down the fairway like a boss. It's shite like this that makes me appreciate that I don't have to put up with shitty municipal courses anymore.

i almost did on the fourth hole, but i couldn't pull the trigger. I hit an awesome drive on that hole too, but i was worried i would somehow miss hit the ball and hit one of them
