That feeling you get when you teach a high 90's shooter and he comes back after two lessons saying he shot 88. Then he shows you his score tracker and he has 42 putts. :(

Speaking of score tracking, what's the best method or app for doing this?

Working for a living sucks, hope I can get a round in this weekend.
I'm sitting around waiting for my new job to start in a month. I literally have nothing to worry about during the course of the day except what time I'm going to play golf, where, and who with. This has to be what retired life feels like and it's awesome.

My dad is fully retired now. I asked what he had been doing up at our cabin (they went up for 2 weeks), and his response was "Waking up. Reading. Fishing. Napping. Not so different from what I do at home every day."

Im taking two months or so off when I get down with grad school.

How many rounds you average a year?
150? 175?
You should be a +1 or +2 handicap by now

Get a job in outside sales and play golf when you want

It was the best decision I ever made after finishing undergrad. All my buddies rushed into trying to find jobs and start a career. One friend of mine started the Monday after graduation. I went to Europe for 2 months and now am home golfing for 1 month before I start. In the long run, I missed 3 months of working to do whatever the hell I want. It's been awesome, but has also given me the time to get mentally prepared to work. I'm ready for it and excited to get started, but I needed the break.

I really only started playing like this last spring/summer (2013). Only played summer of 2009 and 2010 before taking a 2.5 year break before moving to Starkville. Started pretty much from scratch when I picked it up again in January 2013.
If 1 round = 18 holes. I probably played 120 last year. +/- 20 I'd guess.
I probably should be a bit better, but I've come a long ways.

Look at that piece of shite swing. Last June. (Last swing is from like March of 2013).
LINK - A year later. This June.

That's part of what I'll be doing. Flying all over the west coast with a carry on and my sticks in checked baggage. From what I've been told, once they find out I can play a little bit, my workdays will include a lot of client meetings... on the course.

I figure no courses will hire me out west until March or April at earliest, so might as well take a relaxing few months break. Live at home or in Tuscaloosa rent free, do some traveling, and enjoy not having to write a thesis for awhile.

No shite, didn't realize you just started out.
The scores you post are legit for a beginner.
Well done.
