Shot 39/42 for a horrible 81 today.
Had my best ball striking round of the year, but one OB and a clipped tree did me in. I have been struggling to make consistent contact and it has been driving me crazy. Finally figured out what was wrong. I haven't been getting my hips to fire through on my downswing. It's caused my hands to overcorrect leading to inconsistent contact. I emphasized the hip movement today and it was amazing. Felt so good to finally hit solid shot after solid shot. Really excited to get after it tomorrow.

I'm in Kansas. Played a local course today. I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but heading to the host site of last weeks US Pub Links tomorrow. I went to watch some buddies and the course is in great shape.
Will be moving to Denver or Phoenix for work by the end of August. Anyone in this thread happen to be from there or play out there at all? Would be nice to get together considering I'm starting completely new.

Denver is my first choice, so I should be there. Let me know if you bring your sticks. I play to like an 8 so I can swing it around ok. That's the same week as the BMW Championship. Actually have tickets to that regardless of if I'm there or not.
