I show Fox in BR showing Rams and Panthers
Why is there that little island of Rams/Panthers? Seems like that section of LA/MS would get one of the other two large footprint broadcasts. It looks like NOLA and most of the state gets the Falcons/Vikings, the northwestern section gets Eagles/Redskins.

Seems an odd carve out.

I still find it fascinating that the NFL can't manage to nationally televise 16 games a week with Thursday night, Monday night, and all day Sunday at their disposal. College nationally broadcasts something like 40 a week.

do you honestly think that the NFL isn't doing what is best for them financially? do you think that they haven't done the studies regarding income for selling Direct TV Sunday Ticket packages vs putting all of the games on standard cable/network tv nationwide?

I think they could easily "manage" to nationally televise every game. they choose not to.

Because there’s only CBS and Fox on Sunday afternoons
And they are two set times

They would never move games to “premium” channels like FS1 or CBSSports

Plus the direct TV package

One thing the NFL does right is making money
