But I think what the other posting was saying in regards to Westbrool celebrating is that people will tolerate it more when you're routinely guarding the other teams best guard and always does is with intensity
That may be, doesn't mean the hate Curry gets is any more justified. I don't follow the Warriors all that closely and hadn't really been around conversations about them until this series and the hate Curry is getting being the kind of player he is is beyond absurd.

So we got the unanimous MVP, 73-win team, greatest superstar in the world down 3-1 and on the brink.

We got the Cavs and LeBron in a 2-2 dogfight with a team in fricking Canada who doesn't have a single superstar a casual fan could name.

Where are all the "NBA is rigged" people this playoffs?

The Warriors will hit about 25 threes if it goes 7.
That's the damn truth. But unless some kind of miracle epiphany happens, I don't think the Warriors win game 6.

Lebron gets it every year
KD got it the year he was MVP

When you're the best player in the league, people will bash them when they aren't playing like it. Always been that way

I don't feel sorry for Lebron. The hate was entirely of his own making. He ran his mouth WAY too much.

The NBA is rigged narrative is a lasting legacy from the period of 2000-2006 or so when officiating was at an all time low and several high profile playoff series were objectively decided by one-sided officiating. The 2006 Finals is where it really peaked, there was a solid four months in the offseason of discussion about the officiating.

It's been much better since, but nobody will ever convince me 3-4 playoff series in the early-mid 2000s weren't calls made from the league office. Game 6 and 7 of the 2002 WCF and the 2006 Finals were criminal.

game 7 was called evenly. and if you want to talk about that series, might as well throw game 5 up there as well

Regardless of that, people were still gonna bash him when he played bad in the 4th or didn't take a shot or whatever. It's what fans do. All the other hate because of the "not 6, not 7" just took all that to a stratospheric level

I'm usually pretty tolerant of players and like a little swag, but I was 100% done with Lebron after that.

fricking prick hadn't even won 1 when he did all that shite.

what? game 5 was called horrifically. hell, the talk leading up to game 6 was absolutely how the kings were getting call after call. do you want to talk about the free throw disparity between games 1-5? or should i repost the post i made a month or two ago dissecting the string of missed calls in the final 20 seconds of game 5 that let sacramento win that game?

There's a good video out there from years ago that uses all the camera angles from the game to show how obvious it was. Basically, the refs were consistently blowing the whistle at predetermined moments and watching for shots to be missed before calling fouls. It was a weird game because the players and crowd multiple times stood around confused after a whistle because it made no sense given what was happening on the court.

Kings got screwed. That was a really fun team too. Donaghy admitted it. Oh well. Not worth derailing the thread 14 years later, just take it.

when did he say game 7? he said that game 6 was rigged because the NBA wanted a game 7. that is what his court filed document covered. game 6. he has used game 7 of the 2010 finals IIRC to talk about how referees can influence a game. but if he has actually spoken about game 7 in the 2002 WCF then i legitimately have not seen it
