while granger hasn't been the most healthy guy lately, wallace averages a TON of missed games

he's only had 1 great year also

Look, if you can get Granger and swap first round picks to pick up Turner/Cousins/Favors then go ahead and roll the dice, but otherwise it just doesn't make sense.

edit: Ok you know what, maybe Joe Johnson, but not the other two.

edit: But still even JJ takes a lot of jumpers.

Lol you put Joe Johnson on the Hornets right now and take off any wing player besides MT5 and the Hornets are in the Western Conference Finals...Front line is no match to Lakers though...

The Hornets WILL NOT TRADE CP3 till he's in the last year of his contract because of the fact he might not re sign if the team doesn't improve.

Darren Collison will not be traded either, CP3 needs a backup and backup PG's are so hard to find in this league.

The player I can definitely see packaged in a deal is MT5. I DO NOT WANT HIM TO GO. He is my 2nd favorite Hornet but to get a BIG TIME player in here a package of DWest, MT5 and a first RD pick could do it in the offseason. Or even Okafor instead.

So I can definitely see it as a possibility. Maybe something like Okafor, MT5 a first RD pick for Al Jefferson ?

Then use Peja's Expiring to get an Igoudola or some type of 16+ a game scorer like that.

he does drive a lot

he's old and will want too long of a contract, so he's not a real option in my opinion

we'd need to get somebody else who is young, like marvin williams

There's a reason Chris Paul is the PG for Team USA and (insert fail here) Joe Johnson will never suit up for them.

I like Joe Johnson, and I like Danny Granger. But Chris Paul (when healthy, assuming this injury isn't severe) is an elite PG. It's him, DWill, and the rest. He's the kind of guy, coupled with a legit 4/5, who can win a championship.

Everyone knows PG's don't win NBA championships for teams, but they sure as hell can lose them. If CP3 is a 2nd option for a big time 6'11 PTP'er, the Hornets can win instantly. That said, they don't get that for Collison and West. They could, however, get a great wing for Collison and West, and try to draft a DaMarcus Cousins or something.

The fact that I didn't know that will haunt me forever.

By the way, that picture is perfect.

Jefferson/West would get annihilated in the paint on a nightly basis.

If you could get Johnson/Williams and make a couple good draft picks with a smart MLE signing you might be cooking with fire all of a sudden.

Al Jefferson sucks. Empty stats player.

Although he would fit right in with the Hornets

Problem is he's almost a non-existent defender so you have to pair him with a Noah type of player to have an effective front court.

OR actually put him on a team that has a hope of winning 25 + games that season...would you bust your arse on D when you know damn well it doesn't really matter ?
