USC. No one in the Big 10 will beat OSU and if they win in LA, they will have an easy road to the NC. Does anyone really want to see OSU get rolled in the NC 3 years in a row?

yes

OSU has a crapload of talent returning, but to play in that conference... it is an easy road every year for OSU until Michigan can get back on top.... The USC game will be a tough one for OSU, but after that OSU has no one

Yeah, but as I've stated in the past...
The Big10 isn't as weak as some would like to claim. Especially when you're Ohio State.

For some reason, Big10 teams haven't been able to pick up their game for a lot of OOC games. Yet, we're running at .500 with the SEC(good teams from both conferences playing) in the past 2 years(down years for the Big10).
Every week, each team in the Big10 wants to be the one to beat us. They're tired of us winning and will give 100%.

It's not as hard as the SEC by any means, but it's not as easy as many like to make it out to be.

Agreed...and the only reason why we had to watch them get raped by that superior conference in the BCSNCG is because of preseason rankings!!!

OSU was at the top 2 years straight before getting raped by a superior team in a superior conference.

Ohio State was ranked right around 11th last season(if I remember correctly).
Not our fault that everyone else lost enough times to put us at #1 not once, but twice.

dont get me wrong. i believe a big ten team can beat OSU, but it is not likely... the talent their is far superior than the rest of the big ten. but put osu in the sec and they lose atleast 2 games a year... just like the rest of the sec

i had a football coach that always used to say "if you're gonna get raped, you should just sit back and enjoy it". Something I am sure OSU has come to stand for

I wouldnt mind seeing tOSU win and make a run for the NCG so they can lose to another SEC team because you know we will have 1 of 3 there.

I think Ohio State takes this one.

I'm actually starting to wonder if USC may be a tad overrated this season. I hope they aren't to be honest, but I'm starting to wonder.

I hate to agree with tOSU guy but I agree. Although I think OSU has an easier path excluding that game.

Oh and MSB please

I want USC to win for one reason. I would love for LSU to meet them for the BCSCG. If they go undefeated, even in the weak PAC 10, they would be a shoe in for the title game. Need to finally get our chance to put them in their place, even though ESPN would still rank them preseason #1 for 2009 after we put a good ole on them.

We have already proved that tOSU doesn't belong.

Last season's NC loss doesn't bother me. Florida does. So, being from the SEC I guess you can take credit for that, but as per team vs team...
The Florida loss > LSU Loss by a lot.
We were rebuilding last season. Most all Ohio State fans EXPECTED at least 2 losses regular season. Many were even saying three. We were happy to go to the Rosebowl, so getting to the NC was just icing on the cake.
And, New Orleans was a great time

You proved that a preseason #11 team that was completely rebuilding and only in there because everybody else kept losing didn't belong. This year is different...another year of expirience is going to be huge for these guys.

REALLY?!? Don't you think that happens to LSU in the same way? Every week, each team in the SEC wants to beat us also...they give 110%! Dude, I wanna see OSU play UA, South Carolina, and Florida on the road in a four week span, and then still have enough energy to play UGA at home!!! When that happens, come talk to me

We were ranked 10th in the Coaches Poll and 11th in the AP. Not first, not second, not even in the top 5.
Please research before talking.

If you guys:

A) Have a winning bowl season for the second time this decade,
B) be within 14 points in a BCS bowl
and C)dont lose to 3 Div II teams and the likes of Duke, W Michigan etc... on a consistent basis and maybe, just maybe we can entertain this assertion.

For some reason, Big10 teams haven't been able to pick up their game for a lot of OOC games.

Hint: Because they are not any good.

Yet, we're running at .500 with the SEC(good teams from both conferences playing) in the past 2 years(down years for the Big10).

Yes splice up until you can find one bright spot.

quote:

Every week, each team in the Big10 wants to be the one to beat us. They're tired of us winning and will give 100%.

And when the likes of Minnesota, NW, Purdue and Indiana and Iowa give their all... look out. I mean look at the game Iowa gave Iowa State, minny showed ND state they could play with them... NW battled Duke to the end.... I see what you mean... I believe the word is 'brutal' schedule... I read that somewhere.

I hope so as this exact same team was outplayed in all facets last year against us. Returning an entire dominated team doesn't impress me that much... sorry.

Sounds to me as though you're implying that we made the BCS NC by being ranked so highly in the preseason polls.
Am I wrong?
I didn't know 10th/11th was that high?
