frick...

hats off to the boys. They made a game of it. Schierholtz, Brown, Barden, Teagarden. Koplove came on in relief and did a fantastic job. Duensing as well.

Just a rocky start by Knight. He lost his rhythm and his release was a little off at times. He got ripped by the meat of their lineup.

He is a pitch to contact hitter. He seemed to forget that at times today throwing countless balls in the dirt with 2 strikes.

Yeah, but it's not the Brits' fault... the IOC as a whole voted it out.

it's bs how other countries use their top players while we're only allowed to use amateurs.

I don't think it'd be possible for us to use our top players

eta: didn't that fail anyway at the world baseball classic?

not every country uses their top players, cause just like us, their top players are in the middle of the MLB season right now

that's cause the us team was together for less than a month before it began. other countries were using their national teams for a long time.

that is a bullshite excuse. I would buy it in any sport other than baseball, but a team full of MLB pros should be unstoppable. you don't need to play with a team for years to know how to hit the ball

Go and look at the rosters of the other countries and tell me how many names you know

There is one player on the team that is not a pro. Steven Strasburg. Dude is projected to be the top pick in the draft next year.
