Is Jazz' brother not draft eligible? I didn't see him just going through the list. I figured he was a 2nd or 3rd rounder just from the way he showed out in Tiger Stadium

buckeyes were so damn stacked this year

Well if Bosa was healthy all season, they would have at a minimum looked better against Purdue and would probably be in.

Last year he went out at 14-14 in the Iowa game on a targeting call, Iowa went down, scored, then JT threw a pick 6 to close the half. 28-14 is WAY different than potentially 14-14 or OSU leading going into the half

he's eligible, don't know why he wasn't on there when Todd McShay has him as a first round pick to Pittsburgh

He wrecked shop against LSU

Willis wrecked shop the first several weeks of the season, but I haven’t heard anything from him since October.

I don’t know if his play dropped off, he was injured, or if people quit paying attention once the losses started mounting for Miami.

Why would they project Mack Wilson before him?

Mack has a lot of holes in his game from a traditional LB perspective, but he plays the ball in the air like a safety and is good in coverage. With the way offense is trending in the NFL now you're going to see more value being placed on these hybrid players. NFL football revolves around the passing game now- from a defensive standpoint that means finding players to stop it. Edge rushers and corners have always been a hot commodity, but now everyone is trying to find the next Aaron Donald and realizes that collapsing the pocket from the middle is often more disruptive than speed rushing the edge.

White is really good sideline-to-sideline linebacker, but the NFL isn't necessarily a read and chase game as much as it is a game dictated by your ability to play and cover in space.

So with Mack you've got decent run down skills and very good pass down skills. I think you can say the opposite about White, which is why he could conceivably go after Mack. Devin doesn't have prototype size either, which will get picked apart. It's dumb because the kid can play, but I've never bought the top 10 hype. Not that he doesn't have the talent, he just doesn't really fit that profile.

Having said all that, I'd be shocked if Mack was a top 15 pick. I think if he went somewhere like Carolina or Seattle he would thrive, but he needs to be next to a veteran that handles setting the defense up. He's different in that regard than the other Bama linebackers that transitioned seamlessly to the league. Guys like Mosley, Hightower, and Foster were very football smart. Mack might be a better athlete than all of them, but from a mental standpoint he is lost at times. I honestly think he needs another year.

Thompson could absolutely be a high pick at safety. If there's one position that Alabama turns out elite talent almost without exception, it's safety. Eddie Jackson is the highest graded safety in the NFL right now, and he's like 4 or 5 points ahead of Jamal Adams who grades out 2nd.

On a different note, for all the star gazers, Quinnen Williams was the 17th rated defensive tackle in his class. He was behind guys like Rashard Lawrence and Ed Alexander, one spot ahead of Glen Logan
