American record holder in Pole Vault crashes out.
That’s why Mondo didn’t rep USA.

Yea the trials are fun and all but there really should be some sort of guaranteed passage to minimize stuff like that.

Impressive coming out of the blocks last and still running 10.88.

10,000m.... one of the only areas we've needed non-US born citizens to represent us in the past.

I mean we’ve had Kenyan born runners representing us in a lot of the distance events in the past. This may be the first year we’ve all US born representation in this event in a long while though.
To be fair, while there’s a part of me that get slightly annoyed that we’re often times represented by Kenyans (mainly because I wish more US born runners could do what they can) at the international level alot of them have gotten there through service in the military. I feel they’ve earned it.

Think she's specializing in hurdles one more cycle, then will move to the flat for 2026 and 2028.
World Championships are now yearly, so she can start as early as 2025.

Hoping to see UK version of Abby Steiner in the 200m. She made it thru the first heat in the 100m.

Putting 1500 heats and semis on back to back days is some diabolical stuff
Posted on 6/22/24 at 7:16 pm to Pedro
1500m is considered a mid distance race nowadays. Those boys hauled it on Friday
Posted on 6/22/24 at 7:22 pm to BilbeauTBaggins
Oh I know that makes it that much harder to do it back to back days. I had to do some 1500/800 or 1500/3k doubles a couple times and I wanted to die. That was at a much lesser level than these cats. Couldn’t imagine coming out at 3:3x just to move on and having to come back and run a semi the next day.

I wouldn't be surprised if the next races ended in mid 3:4x. 1500m team can be very good this year

Snoop narrating the intro to tonight’s prime time track coverage is what I needed today.

Is it wrong to be happy that an Ole Piss alum got eliminated?
