Updated forecast for NFL salary cap?

About a year or two ago, I recall reading that the NFL salary cap was expected to significantly increase over the next five years. This was due to the continued growth of the league with some teams (I think) using this forecast to restructure or defer salary 'cap hits' to future years.
With all of the protests and other issues affecting ratings recently, is there an updated forecast for the salary cap in upcoming years? Is it at all possible that it could shrink?
