The crowd was kind of rude at the end. Taylor gave them some of this right as the match ended.
But, he didn't handle the courtside interview well, was kind of a dick, and ended it quickly. He should have said, I got caught up in the moment and understand you were just rooting for your countryman.

I remember the girl you're talking about. Day and Liu didn't really even go through the recruiting process. They both won junior grand slams. They were both going pro the whole time.

You are right. It was Ann Li. She ended up going pro instead.
The year before, the Sells signed Raveena Kingsley, who was the nations no 2 recruit. She ended up going pro as well.
