UNO is hiring a former Southeastern assistant as its next baseball coach

UNO announced the hiring of Belhaven University coach Andrew Gipson as its next baseball coach on Thursday.
Sources told The Times-Picayune on Tuesday that Gipson would become New Orleans' next head coach. Gipson has been the head coach at Division III Belhaven, which is located in Jackson, Mississippi, since 2023. He was an assistant coach at Southeastern from 2015-22 before returning to Belhaven, his alma mater, as head coach.
Rogers will take over as UNO's ninth head baseball coach on July 1 according to the university.

If UNO needs a great pitching coach Tulane has one. The numbers the pitching staff put up this year was eye opening!
