They still haven't done open tryouts for the final few spots.

Anybody feel the UFC is getting kind of stale? I don't know if it's the fact that a lot of the fighters I was familiar with are retiring or what... but I haven't been as interested in it in a while.

It actually started around the time they allowed the really small weight classes... 125 and 135.

I'll play devil's advocate and say there aren't too many events. Most of these cards are free, and there are only a handful of PPVs every year.

Dana and tUFC need to make a choice between elite competition & entertainment....looks like they are going the entertainment route. Dana will say and do outlandish things to gain his brand attention. Refusing to sign Askren while cutting Fitch, Oksmi, & Shields shows which direction they are heading. Giving loudmouths like Diaz & Chael undeserved title shots. Even contemplating giving Gina a title shot. It's not about winning, it's about entertaining.....look at how successful Vince McMahon has been.

Ufc's biggest issue is developing superstars. Mma is so unpredictable, it's tough to build someone up.

Free or not too many events is too many

I don't really care to watch Mma fights every 4 days and I really don't know who many fighters are any more

I didn't say it was too expensive trying to keep up, I pointed to oversaturation

You get tired of it when it used to be a special night

But now, there is way more talent out there, we are finally getting some badass Russians to come over to America, and the roster is larger and much more talented (with even more divisions). Some of the biggest names only fight once or twice a year at the most now. You need the extra free cards to help boost up the smaller names & sort out the divisions.

An increase in events is necessary, but Fight Pass is not the way to go about it at this moment.
