He needs to hang it up. Washed up, nobody wants to see him get mopped anymore.

He is this is his retirement fight, he still has a lot of fans

Washed up

That’s a stretch. In his last fight, he just gave one of the best fighters in the world a tough fight for 5 rounds. 0-3 on title fights though, I think he realizes he won’t get another shot

thats why I like the topuria fight if he wins it adds to the mystique of a guy that can whoop arse but couldnt win the title. but to be fair he did hold the interim title.

8 months ago, he gave Islam, the P4P #1 and a guy who seems invincible and may go down as the best Lightweight ever, all he could handle.

Khabib and Islam both said they respected Porier as much as any opponent at 155. He also crushed the UFC's new 'monster' up and comer (St Denis) before that to get the title shot.

Dustin is still a legit top 5 LW in the world and can still bang with anyone.

This take is just ludicrous.

For those of you who have never been to a live UFC event. Go. The atmosphere is like no other sport. There's usually a lot of hot heads thinking they could compete in the octagon but usually those guys fight each other.

And the females. Holy Smokes. I live in Houston and I don't know where all the good looking women hang out, but they were all there. It's a contest of who can wear the most revealing outfit.

I have been to about 20 or so UFC events and the only ones I have seen fights at were in houston and the mcgregor khabib in vegas. I find that typically the average ufc fan to be well informed of the sport and less trashy than the average nfl fan.... probably because the cost of the tickets.

and yes, there are always smoking hot women. the latinas are always representing.

oh yeah and the infamous fight at ufc mexico city last year where the guy knocked out a few people. I was on the floor for that event and it was on the opposite side of me so I didnt see it. I will say that the mexican people were cool as frick. I dont speak much spanish, and they didnt speak much english, but we had a great time. another crazy thing from that fight is they were having problem with credit card machines because the cellular towers were overwhelmed but the attendents just wrote down all that I ordered and kept serving me until they were able to run my card. that would never happen here.

He adds that Ilia is targeting a return in May against Charles Oliveira, and if not him then Dustin Poirier is also someone they're interested in

Wouldn't be shocked it's the main event for July 4.. the only other fight for Topuria that makes any sense would be Tsarukyan

Either Ilia fights Islam or they make him fight someone in the top 5 first like Charles. But the betting odds releases in January was Islam -400. However, betOnline.ag currently has Islam at -280.

I think he's fighting Islam, but I don't know... if he's fighting Dustin that means plans changed

Current rumor for Dustin is that he's fighting Max for the BMF title. I think that's a great fight for him to go out on.
