Randleman was not doing very well against Fedor...He got his back, worked a huge suplex, and was submitted 15 seconds after hitting the ground.

If I go in there vs Brock, and run around for a minute and land a punch, then was I doing well with Brock before he murdered me?

The fact that Fedor is still alive after that suplex is amazing.

Until Brock learns submissions, he would lose to Fedor very quick.

Fedor trains how to land on his head in Sambo since he was a teen. Also, even Randy said today that Fedor would destroy Brock.

For the record, I don't think Randleman was doing well against Fedor. I remember Lindland giving Fedor more problems and he still lost in 3 minutes.

No, but it would be cool if you could work a randleman slam in there.

I've seen the suplex and thought Fedor was dead. THis was really before I started watching MMA and I remembered Randleman doing that to him. We'll see one day I guess. I think by the time Brock fights him, he can win that figh, just not now.

You know when you saw Randleman land that, you didn't think Fedor was going to be winning a few minutes later.

Fedor vs Randleman

Check the 55 second and 2:38 mark. Any normal man would have a broken neck. Fedor is beyond normal. This is about as textbook of a suplex as you could get. It almost seemed like it didn't faze him at all.

I saw that too. So...Randy retires for good? I mean, if he lost to Lesnar and says Fedor would destroy Lesnar, I guess that means he really doesn't want Fedor anymore?

Anyway, Randy would be at the minimum 46 before he got around to fighting Fedor.

theres a lot of fights for Randy if he wants it between LHW and HW. I'm sure they can come up with a good match. Chuck's not LHW champ anymore (rumored Chuck vs Anderson Silva at UFC 95 btw) so thats out of his way. Forrest is his training partner but i could see Randy winning one fight then going against maybe Rashad or Rampage or somebody like that at 205.

I did think the slam hurt Fedor, but it obviously didnt.

I guess what Im trying to say is this: If you, Palm Beach Tiger, go in there against Royce Gracie, sit in his gaurd and throw a few hammerfists and they land while he sets up, and then breaks your arm with an armbar, I would not say you are doing well.

Its a 15 minute fight, and ANYONE can look good simply by exploding early in the fight while the other guy is pacing himself and being a little more careful.

If we take a heavyweight boxer, put him against Tyson in his prime, and tell him to go fricking berzerk for as long as he can. And he does, and for a minute and a half he is throwing, and Tyson is trying to cover up, and move and counter, and finally lands the punch we all saw coming and kills the guy, I think the word "inevitable" would better drscribe that performance than "he was doing well before he got caught."

plus basically anyone who has "hurt" Fedor or put him in a real bad looking spot has been finished withing probably 30 seconds. See Randleman, Fujita, Coleman etc

60K bonuses went to Riley, Gurgel, Stephens, and Hazelett.

Undisclosed bonuses went to numerous fighters on the card

I didn't get to see the Gurgel fight. I know he lost. But was a good enough fight to get a bonus. Brock TKO'd the champ and didn't get one?

Brock got a win purse, but he didnt get won of the BIG bonuses that they hand out every show.

Im sure he got another undisclosed bonus as well.

And yes the Gurgel-Riley fight was the best fight of the night, and deserved a bonus.

When you look at the bonuses, Brock did nothing to earn the extra bonus cash.

They give it for KO of the night, and Jeremy Stephens might have had KO of the year. For submission of the night, Lesnar didnt sub Randy, but had he, it still would have been hard to beat Hazeletts gym. And they have a fight of the night bonus, and there were 3 fights on that card that were better than Brocks fight.

Had Riley and Gurgel not happened, the Stephens Dos Anjos fight would have won that bonus easily. It would have won that FOTN bonus over alot of the other past winners of UFCs past.

And if niether of those were on the card, the McRory vs Hazelet fight would have been good enough to win that award on many average cards.

That performance was 3rd best IMO on this card, and it was on par with Chris Lytle-Thiago Alves fight from last year that won the FOTN
