I know your point, and it would make the fights more exciting. I'd like to see them add the soccer kicks like they had in Pride. Seems to take a little away from trying to stay on the ground.

I agree with you but it'd make it harder for the american public to accept MMA with soccer kicks allowed. I like the pride rules with no elbows but knees and soccer kicks to a grounded opponent are better rules.

You think Kongo will look for the takedown early? Has he ever looked for an early takedown?

Mitrione, Brown, Hardonk, ,Buentello, Al Turk

well shite, I stand corrected. I honestly don't remember most of those fights, but I'll take your word that Kongo went for the takedown early on in them.

and that's such bullshite Rampage weighed-in @ 211. Does he even give a frick anymore?

I'd like to see all 3, but I can understand why the UFC doesn't want soccer kicks/stomps, and why Pride didn't want elbows.

Those kicks/stomps definitely would deter some of that lay n pray strategy.

well in the public eye seeing guys stomp each other looks kinda barbaric. I'm not a fan of elbows because it's usually not used to finish a fighter but to cut them.

rampage said he had a injury in training camp and he couldnt run, said he has never pulled out of a fight due to a injury and he never will. I think bader gets him in this one. I bet he has a knee injury again and bader should attack it with leg kicks. bader got "caught" by tito so I dont think he makes that mistake again. I think bader will have the same approach to this fight that condit had with diaz. I dont think rampage is taking bader seriously so I think bader may pull out the win

I think Rampage is the better fighter if he comes to fight. If passive Rampage shows up again I'm taking Bader. Rampage needs to be the bully if he wants to win.

agreed. My neighbor just got that UFC Undisputed game, and it's pretty cool being able to play with the old Pride fighters under the Pride rules. Shogun via soccer kick
