i think the field is the one who has to adapt and adjust.

I can't believe Rashad is gonna step in the ring against him.

Silva is the MW champ but has fought and fought well at 205 before. People even comment that he is a big 205 when he fights at LHW. It would not shock me at all to see GSP back out of the fight (he doesn't seem to keen on moving up), Anderson beats Okami, and then after Jones beats Rashad, we get Anderson v Bones Jones.

I hope everyone remembers where they were at tonight.....this could be history in the making right here. the sky truly is the limit for JBJ. his patience/composure really impressed me. This is the type of person who can truly be the GOAT one day. not only is he really good, but he's hungry as well....he wants to get better and is willing to work at it. (plus his head is in the right spot).

I'd see that as a terrible fight for Anderson fighting someone who is taller and has a bigger reach then him. Anderson is used to always being the taller guy with a long reach. Plus jones can get anderson on his back and it would be the same result with what happened to shogun tonight

Shogun looked slow and out of shape. Looked like he wore out quickly toward the end of the 1st. Also seemed unprepared.

no doubt. and at some point, like every fighter ever, he'll get his arse beat and everyone will immediately say he's overrated and only beat a bunch of slouches

It is not premature at all to say that he could easily become the GOAT. I follow a couple websites with writers who have covered the UFC from day 1 and no one can believe what they just saw.

Silva actually walks around at 205 or so. Idk exactly where Jones generally is. But I could definitely see this fight happening if both Jones and Silva continue to win.

I want to see GSP vs Silva first cause I've been waiting years for that. But give it another year or so and I'll be raving for a Silva/Jones fight.

Shogun took brutal shots to the body and it wore him out. He got rocked about 6 times that fight and it finally caught up with him at the end.

not only that, Jones came out fast and wide open from the opening bell. I think this suprised Shogun. He took a couple punches and kicks early that knocked him back and hurt him. I wonder if this is what made him look so sluggish, or if he was unprepared.

I think everyone is discrediting what the effect Jones had on Shogun. Shogun has never been known for his first rate cardio, and with Jones smothering him continuously, it isn't surprising that Shogun looked so bad.

Personally, I think the Anderson/Jones fight is much more interesting stylistically than GSP/Anderson. GSP will try to grind out a win by out-wrestling Anderson, whereas Jones would trade with him.

I was a huge pride fan and shogun is the last wave of pride. Seeing him go down like this was painful to watch

Imo, it was probably a couple of those huge shots towards the end of the first that are to blame for what Shogun looked like. He was fine before then, just struggling on the ground with a much bigger man. Shogun didn't look right again after that knee.

I too am waiting to see what happens when someone actually catches Jones. But I also wonder ... who the hell will?
