I thought Brock's reduced wgt looked good on him, his stamina and wind, and his recent boxing coaching has helped him a tad, but it still needs more work.

If Brock's first takedown works, then that first round goes completely different. an extra 20 pounds might have been all he needed. Not to mention the confidence in himself weighing his normal weight.

thats awesome. there doesn't appear to be any sport in guys just beating the frick out of each other. Sure it takes ability but regular wrestling takes more mental ability than this shite.

Dude, MMA is all the tactics and ability of boxing, wrestling and 10x more. I'm no MMA-head, but how can you not see this? With more 100x more possible attacks and defenses, the tactics are exponential.

Reduced weight. He was 281 at fight time.

THen he normally is 295 to 300 at fight time, because he was noticeably smaller IMO.

All I saw in this heavyweight fight was Carwin blow his load early trying to take out the beast that is Lesnar............If he tactically keeps top position in the 1st and works the ground and pound utilizing elbows and scoring points he can hang in the 2nd round and there on...........

Lesnar was smart enough to weather the storm, still show that he was protecting, then come out and take advantage of Carwin in the 2nd when he saw he was winded.........

Lesnar is a true champion for weathering the storm but I felt Carwin was a better fighter tonight.......doesn't mean Lesnar didn't deserve to win but he needs a lot more training to hang with Carwin in standup.

From the angle that BL so easily carries the added weight easily, without losing anything agility and speed-wise, and that HW division having so many fights end early, I totally agree.

But, even with some lbs missing, he easily was able to control Carwin when leaning on him, whether fence or ground. Would have to think it be much the same vs almost anyone else, Dos Santos, FE, etc..included? If based upon size and strength, not necessarily say skills.

He was easily 15 to 20 lbs lighter than some previous fights. His abs were ripped, and his waist notably slimmer from side profiles.

Man is just a physical freak, even as a so-called "smaller" BL.

Lesnar is technically a better wrestler than Carwin though............but if they fought 10x I'd still have a hard time going against Carwin.

You can't tell me Carwin approaches that fight so differently now that he saw his mistakes..........Hell he could have even let Brock get up when he was on his back and probably won the fight..............His aggressiveness and likely his "fear" of Lesnar caused him to overcompensate in the 1st.

Max, Brock's standup is exactly why I wonder if a Fedor now with an L, and no perfect mark to protect in his legacy, will not say "WTH..I wanna fight Brock"

Fedor has the hands and sub skills to fight BL, if he avoids being smashed into a pulp on the fence or mat first.
