Mir apparently really did gain 20-25 pounds like the trainer said. Dude is on some good juice the past couple fights. He went from a sloppy 255 to a ripped 245 to cutting to a ripped 265

He's going to need every ounce of that to outmuscle Kongo to the ground with his mediocre takedowns.

Is the Belcher fight a catchweight fight for some reason?

You're right. Just read that they are fighting at 195. No clue why though. I hate all these catchweight fights though. Especially when its 2 MWs fighting.

Garcia made weight at 171 in his second attempt.

While the troublesome scale readings proved a distraction throughout most of the ceremony, it didn't take away from the animosity that continues to build between main-card fighters Frank Mir and Cheick Kongo. The French kickboxer refused to look at his opponent during the customary staredown and instead chose to turn his back on Mir.

A middleweight contest between Alan Belcher and Wilson Gouveia has been changed to a 195-pound catchweight bout.

The change was made Friday afternoon and approved by UFC officials, according to a source close to the situation.

The source said Gouveia asked for a 190-pound catchweight limit, but Belcher gave a counter-offer of 195 pounds, stating he was already at 195 pounds and didn't see the use in cutting extra weight.

Jeff Mullen, the Tennessee Athletic Commission's Director, did not respond to messages requesting confirmation of the change.

UPDATE: At the UFC 107 weigh-ins Friday afternoon in Memphis, Gouveia tipped the scales at 193lbs., two under the limit. Belcher, meanwhile, was right on target at 195lbs.

it crapped out on me at the end, but the video is up on ufc.com now. apparently wiman and shane nelson pushed, kongo turned his back on mir, the crowd chanted "yes" for diego and he and bj talked shite to each other not to mention the 50 dudes missing weight or almost missing and having to strip
