And he's only lost 1 fight in the UFC and that was to Yushin Okami at 185 lbs. For his sake I would like to see him fight a few more top guys before he gets a shot but the list of guys left for a shot at GSP will be very short if he gets by Alves.

He's 14-2, has only lost once in the UFC and that was to a guy who should have already gotten a title shot at 185, and he has been very impressive at WW.

On second thought though, this fight is not until September. Which means if the winner gets GSP/Alves winner the next title fight wouldn't be until December or so.

Any chance Fitch/Thiago winner gets the title shot? Or just if Thiago wins?

Ideally I would like for him to beat a top five guy such as his buddies Koscheck or Fitch, but there just isn't alot of options at 170.

GSP has near cleaned out the division.

Speaking of 170...I'd like to see a Conduit/Larson match.

Everyone is going to loose once plus that was in UFC 91 and 78. He just looked damn strong in his last fight. And yes ill agree he is good at a submission.
