This is the thing that bothered me most about the whole steroid thing--the feigned righteous indignation of the media and Bud Selig. I did a report on steroids in 1988 when I was 10 years old. I could tell then that those Bash Brothers A's teams were all juiced up.

In 1998, at 20-years-old, I don't know of any one of my friends who didn't know that Sosa and McGwire were basically going up to bat with syringes hanging out of their asses. And you're telling me, that YOU didn't know, you who saw these dudes drop 500 foot bombs day after day, you who saw these monsters sans shirts in the clubhouse week after week, year after year--you did not know? Oh, I think he gets in. I like Pettite a lot. And I'm certainly not arguing against his candidacy. Just the hypocricy of baseball writers. Some of them are so fricking insufferable.
