true, but game was already over.

They were only up 5. The game was not over.

Peja is a damn cancer. We pay him ~14 million to make that 3 at the end.

With the progression of Collison and MT5 I am starting to come around on trading CP3. We aren't even close to being a title contender with our shitty front court and depth.

Doesn't matter who is at point, we won't win shite with West at 4 and Meka at 5. Need bigs awefully bad. Too soft on D especially with a guy like peja guarding a 3.

There's no doubt about that.

He's a rookie...give him a break. He hit 35 tonight. We wouldn't have been in this fricking game without him.

That's what leaders do. He's no CP3, but he sure as hell is making us look like we don't have an all star hurt on the bench for most of the season.

Random thought I had today. Detroit is looking to rebuild their dynasty with a younger core of players. Tayshaun Prince's contract ends in the 2011 offseason - that's right, the same time Stojakovic's and Peterson's contracts end and when West will likely opt out of his current deal.

Think about that defense: Collison at the 1, Prince at the 3, Okafor at the 4, and hopefully the Hornets get a good 5 with the cap space from dealing Paul (if we assume he's dealt). Get a top-flight scorer at the 2 spot to be the first option with Paul/5 as the second and third options, Thornton as the sixth man, and look out.

Collison has averaged 21 pts. and 9 asts. since Paul went down. Chris Paul averaged 16 and 8 while starting all 78 games he played in his rookie season.

Preesh.

I love CP3 as much as the next guy, but you know upper management is watching and salivating at the options we have right now.

Unless we have another A+ draft there is no way we are going to be truly competing anytime soon.

If we got two young legit front court players we could be an exciting young contender in as within another season. About the best way to do that is unloading CP3. I really like Paul though as he is really involved in NO and is a good guy. It is business.

"Upper management" is the fatass sitting on our bench letting Tim Floyd coach.

Are they even shopping around for another head coach? Are they just letting the season ride out on his shoulders and judging from there? Sorry for ignorance on the subject.

I'd prefer consistency.

If he is going to average 18-20 points a game I'd rather it be 18-22 points a game rather than 40 one night and crap the next

I may be crazy, but Posey was completely ineffective on Dirk. I would've put a fresh Sean Marks to pressure Dirk's fade away. We don't go through the post on offense anyway, and maybe Marks would've got some second chance points.

Good game though. I love the fight in the rooks.
