The last great college basketball team was 1999 Duke IMO. I really haven't been impressed with any other college basketball team since that time. People bag on CFB and prop up CBB all the time but CFB destroys CBB in overall quality. You don't ever see CBB champions that are as good as 2001 Miami, 2004 USC, 2008 Florida or even runner-ups that come close to the quality of a 2005 USC or 2011 LSU. It's amazing how much stronger the top teams are in college football than they are in college basketball.

Francis was long gone by then. He left after one year in '99. The '01 Terps team had Blake, Dixon, Mouton, Wilcox and Baxter with Nicholas coming off the bench.

to me this just seems like you quit watching college ball. That second Florida team was unbelievable and NC in 09 can both hang in the all time greats discussion. Nc's team that drubbed Arkansas in the second round in like 06 is probably the best team I've ever seen that didn't win the ship.
