makes sense.

the committee said over and over again that "top 25 wins" are important so they will be up there. thats also why ND will be ranked ahead of Okla St.

Notre Dame beat Navy pretty good. That was Navy's only loss of the year. They just murdered Memphis last weekend.

Notre Dame has two pretty good wins, and the best loss in the country. They should be ahead of LSU.

LSU really should be ahead of Iowa and Baylor. Split the difference there and I think LSU ends up at 7.

Notre dame has one top 25 win in temple at 22. Lsu has two with UF at 10 and MSU at 20. Lsu has SOS of 4, and ND at 5. Lsu should be ahead of ND

Ok. LSU will still have wins over likely number 9 and 17 or so, and ND will have about #19 and #20. There is no way for the committee to put ND ahead besides them saying they just want to. Which they may

My lord man, tell me how even according to you ND should be ahead of LSU. Using your reasons it is clear as day LSU should be ahead

both have two top 25 wins (LSUs wins are slightly better)

both have a good loss (NDs loss is better).

itll be close, and i agree LSU will be higher than a lot of people think, but I think goes

4. ND
5. Oklahoma St
6. LSU

but i could see any combination of those three at this point, the committee has rarely been consistent

Wait #9 and #17 are only SLIGHTLY better than #19 and #20

But at the same time

#1 is clearly better than #2

If you want to argue the "eye test" because ND lost closer that is fine, but based on wins and losses and SOS LSU has the clear edge

Notre Dame has 2 wins over top 25 teams. LSU has 2 wins over top 20 teams. Both have a loss on the road to a top 2 team, except Notre Dame's "looked" a lot better. So, if they use the eye test at all, Notre Dame might have a slight edge there.

LSU's next two best wins are Auburn??? and Western Kentucky. Notre Dame's next two best wins are Southern Cal and Pittsburgh. Advantage ND there, probably.

It's pretty close if you go down the line. However, their close loss to Clemson looks a lot better than LSU's ugly loss to Alabama. I think that'll be the difference.

If you use the eye test I cant argue, because that is a point that simply cant be argued I cant control someones eyes. I was simply refuting him because he was originally basing his rank based on top 25 wins. LSU leads ND in that category. That was my point.

I agree that Notre Dame jumps into the top 4. I'm not sure if Oklahoma State's one win should jump them that many spots.

LSU will be ahead of Stanford. They should be ahead of Iowa and Baylor. That would put them at 6.

Baylor was 6th last week for literally no reason. They shouldn't have been ahead of TCU or Michigan State to that point.

That makes me think the committee likes Baylor. Their eyes like Baylor.

That's what makes me think Baylor will be ahead of LSU.

Yep. And I personally think LSU would destroy Baylor. College football is very much a matchup game and the only teams I think have the ability to stop our run game and control of the game is Bama and OSU

And I think LSU could get in without winning the SEC.

Concede a spot to Alabama. Concede a spot to the Notre Dame/Stanford winner. That's two.

LSU needs two of these three things to happen:
Michigan beats Ohio State, then Iowa (2-loss Big Ten champion)
Clemson loses any game (likely to UNC)
Big XII produces a 1-loss champion

Michigan beating Ohio State would throw a wrench into EVERYTHING.
