Pittsburgh gets (assuming they win the North)

Ha! Ever since we traded out Shareece Wright (thank the Lord) for Tavon Young and when Jimmy Smith is healthy, our defense has been lights out. knock on wood Superbowl Flacco showed up last week. Our offensive line is getting healthier and healthier too.

Appears to be 9-2. A couple posters went back and forth and never gave a clear answer thoughbv

As a die hard Chiefs fan here is my 2 cents on this team

1. Chiefs have been flying under the radar. Not getting the love they deserve and I'm okay with that. Even being 3-0 in the AFC with wins @DEN and @OAK they are still somehow not as good as them. Other wins include @ATL @IND (Both division leaders)

2. The 3 games defeated can all be explained. Losing @Hou 2nd game of the year and after defeating Houston convincingly TWICE last year in HOUSTON including 30-0 in the playoffs inspired a team to get revenge. Especially Watt who was the difference maker in getting the turnover that won the close game.
Losing @Pitt was another emotional game for Pitt after getting destroyed by Philly the prior week and playing PRIME TIME SNF with the RETURN of LeVeon Bell. That was an all around horrible game and really sloppy. I would bet you that the Chiefs would be completely different if they played again. Especially in Arrowhead.
Losing at HOME vs Tampa. Injuries played big in this game. NO MARCUS PETERS and NO DEE FORD. Both at the time were leading the NFL in INT and Sacks and the formula to the Chiefs success has been pressure on the QB forcing them to make that bad decision where Peters and Berry have feasted. Without that during the game Winston was very comfortable. Still even during the game the Chiefs had it sealed but had a costly red zone turnover that Tampa turned into a TD and won the game. Tampa has been hot ever since. To me that was our fluke game.

This season the Chiefs have literally won with back ups. It shows how this team is very deep. Key injuries include
J. Charles - IR
Allen Bailey - IR
Jaye Howard - IR
Parker Ehinger - IR
Jeremy Maclin missed the past 5 games
Justin Houston has been out all year and returned 3 weeks ago and already has 5 sacks
Alex Smith and Ware have both missed a game because of concussion and still won because Foles is solid.

This team is not fully healthy but now a defense that has Ford, Houston, Hali, Chris Jones, D. Johnson, Poe, Berry, and Peters it will be fun to watch. They may give up some yards but they lead the league in takeaways. PRESSURE PRESSURE PRESSURE.

Offense is becoming more explosive with the addition of Tyreek Hill. Absolute stud athlete and speed kills. With him growing up and getting Maclin back with Kelce the Chiefs actually have some explosive weapons. The OL controls the tempo. The running game will open up with the outside play makers. The WR can all block up field. They are very well coached and patient with the play calling, however not too many people realize the Chiefs have won 20 of their past 23 regular season games INCLUDING beating the RAIDERS 6 of the last 7 games!

Here's a stat for you

Derek Carr in 3 road games in temps below 50
DEN '14 18/36 158 YDS 1/1
DEN '15 12/29 135 YDS 2/0
KC '15 21/33 194 YDS 1/1
52% CMP 4.96 Y/A

It will be below 20 degrees tonight boys. If the Chiefs can contain their run game (which will be tough) It will force them to pass. Won't have time to pass deep and if so I am confident with the lock down ability Peters and Berry as their leader.

The Chiefs will earn their RESPEK tonight!

So OAK wanting revenge for losing at home earlier in the season = KC is screwed right? That how this works?

Just messing with your logic here. HOU looks like an ugly loss now, PIT was a bad game and Tampa actually seems like a solid team now.

Both teams seem to have weird shite bounce their way in the 4th quarter but I think the Chiefs get 1 more than the Raiders tonight.

People that follow the NFL know the Chiefs are legit. They're not flashy, so they're not on Sportscenter every night. But they're a contender this year, no doubt about that.

ESPN Power Rankings are trolling hard. The Chiefs continue to drop in the rankings yet continue to win. They were at #5 then win @DEN drop to #6 and then win @ATL and drop to #7

FYI - I know Power Rankings are a complete joke...especially those clowns at ESPN

I would agree if the Chiefs were playing @OAK tonight. However division rivalry games are way different. They all seem to be close no matter what. Even when a team is 7 wins better on the season. I love playing the Raiders because they always seem to shoot themselves in the foot. Watch how many penalties they will have tonight. I mean the Raiders did break the NFL record this year in penalties with like 24 in a game.

Houston is a different team without Watt for sure. Chiefs got them at the wrong time.

Here is another interesting tid bit about the game and this matchup.

Chiefs had a bye before the first match-up in OAK. Andy Reid is the best coach ever coming off a bye. I think he is like 15-2 coming off a bye. It also rained during the game which didn't allow for much throwing. Now this game is coming off a very short week for both teams. Justin Houston did not play in the game either. The Raiders haven't lost since that Chiefs game with a 6 game win streak going. I would never bet on an NFL game. As bad as I want the Chiefs to win. This will come down to protecting the football

If the Raiders snap the Chiefs 4 game winning streak against them, then this might really be happening...the year of the Silver and Black.

And speaking of lack of respect Lemonhead, the Raiders are looking to win their ninth straight game against the spread on the road.

The Raiders are 8-0 against the spread in their last eight games on the road.

If they win tonight as underdogs it will be 9 for 9.

The atmosphere at Arrowhead tonight will be absolutely insane. The parking lots just opened at noon and people have been lined up outside of the gates for awhile.

The Chiefs are good but this is a QB driven league for the most part, obviously denver won without a qb, but you need homefield for sure if you're gonna beat big ben and/or brady in the playoffs. If the chiefs get homefield they're a legit threat in my opinion with that crowd. If they have to go to new england to beat tom in january id give them a 20% chance of doing that.
