Boy thinks a lot of him as a horseman.

As boy says, it's hard to do anything illegal with a horse in the derby. They are watched like hawks. From a bloodhorse article on derby/oaks safety
quote:
Commissioner Ned Bonnie asked if all the Derby horses were under 24-hour surveillance in light of the fact horses at Churchill historically are housed in various barns, not one stakes barn. Northrop, Flanery, and KHRC director of enforcement Chris Clark told Bonnie all Derby participants were watched around the clock.
Clark said the Jefferson County Sherriff’s Office provided barn security and “reported no problems at all.” And though Northrop said he had to sign in whenever he visited a barn, Bonnie persisted, saying he wants to see the actual logs kept by the county agency.

Aspy, chris may be on to something with optimizer. Nakatani is the best that's rode him so far. May see a different horse.

I lost money on him too much earlier this year. Only prep I didn't bet him was rebel. That was dumb.
However, as an English channel, I'd rather see him on grass.
Gotta say, in this day and age I'm pretty likely to throw out a Lucas horse.

its not that bad for me. I usually hit on at least one longshot each time I go. got lucky and hit a 75-1 on a 4 dollar win bet last week. hit a 17-1 last night. I started slow but am starting to get my groove back lately. I dont bet much per race and I am the type that would rather lose 5 than win 2.

Email me tomorrow if you head out. I'm either usually alone and bored, or back at the barn and bored.

Haven't looked. On the way to the horse show and too consumed with thoughts of shipping my jerk horse to Mexico to become a burger
I'll look in a little while, but mama kimbo seems nice, just inexperienced
Throw in in lingerie and Glinda the good

Aspy what should I make of a horse that ran only stakes races for 2 years and had pretty decent success then only ran once this year and it was a an allowance race that he finished 5th now he's back running in a g2 race tomorrow. He put up a 100 beyer number in the race previous to the allowance race which is the highest of all the horses in this race

I'm thinking...
Disposablepleasure
Mamma Kimbo
Wildcat Smile
The only thing I'm worried about with Wildcat Smile is she hasn't really ran long distance, but I do like that Rosie will be riding her.

Good trainer.
Go for it. He wouldn't run him if he wasn't ready
