Could he be like another Steve Young?
Steve Young is exactly who I would compare him to. I think he has a chance to be pretty good in the big show.........I mean I wouldn't bet my life on it or anything, but it wouldn't surprise me if 3 or 4 years from now he's better than avg.

Are you comparing Tebow to Tom Brady??
Actually the best pro-comparison is Mcnabb, I made it earlier in the year, and someone else made it on this thread. Tebow is like McNabb but not as good.

Tom Brady now or Tom Brady then? Tom Brady then worked his arse off to improve everything he can to become a better QB. And it paid off. Give Tom Brady a different personality, and he's probably not even in the NFL anymore. No one has worked as hard as Tom Brady for the exception of probably Peyton Manning, who is much more naturally gifted, but puts a lot of work in the film room and in the playbook.

I dont think its a good comparison. A guy like Perrilloux is probably the closest comparison to McNabb. Both are very mobile, and can throw accurately on the run. But the closest comparison is that fast release and tight throws they can make.
I dont see the Tebow McNabb comparison.

He has huge passing windows playing in the SEC though.
dude you are a fricking joke

How so? That is the truth, and is a knock on the scouting report on Tebow. Scouts don't think he can make the throws in the NFL

I don't see that at all.

As opposed to those tough passing windows Leinart had to fit the ball into that got him ready for the NFL
Which conference would better prepare Tebow for the NFL in terms of defenses faced?
Not the Big XII, ACC, Big East, PAC 10 or Big X.

No. Steve Young could pass.

Trent Dilfer was absolutely fricking terrible. He has more career INTs than TDs.
So do Bobby Layne and Joe Namath, and they're both in the HOF.

Namath in HoF is the biggest crock in the NFL.

i agree with the mcnabb comparrison. i don't think he compares to steve young that much. young was one of the most accurate passer of all time. tebow doesn't seem like he's going to be that accurate. i still think he could be a mcnabb-type player, not the fastest guy but a good runner no less, who can make all the throws he needs to. he's probably going to be a better leader than mcnabb.

Plus physically they are both big strong guys.

I don't know, I think once he gets in the League and he has to depend on his arm a lot more, I think he'll improve drastically. But again, it's not something I'd bet my life on, just a hunch.

Whether Namath belongs in the HOF is a legit question.
However, there is no question that for a few seasons before he wrecked his knees, he was a great QB.

oh i think he'll be accurate enough to play in the league, just not steve young-like. another comparrison is elway in terms of how he plays. he doesn't have the arm that elway had, but it's strong enough. i wouldn't have a problem with any team taking him in the 1st. if john fricking beck can go in the 2nd, tebow is good enough to take in the 1st.

same. shite, I wouldn't be pissed if Dallas were to get him...it certainly wouldn't make me mad, I'll just say that.

Minnesota would be a good place for him to end up.
