Well then. Tiger's prime >>>>> Jack's prime

Like I said.

Thanks for the info.

no problem. it's very obvious that tiger's prime was better. every stat in the game supports it. some people just can't accept it.

I was just highlighting the Tiger ones. My point was comparing the two primes. Are you drunk again?

These people probably think Webb Simpson is a hall a famer. Ogilvy too. Hell lets put VandeVelt to help the tiger side of this. Jack will have played vs well over half the the hall of famers Tiger did.

WTF are you talking about? I highlighted the Jack ones. The arguement was playing against stiffer competition...as lsugolf said that "it was easier to win back then"...

And don't forget Jack's clubs. And all the advances is technology.

Plus, lawn mowers were different too, which gave a different lie from the fairway than they do today.

I think you mean twice the hall of famers Tiger has, and yes, you are correct. That's why I don't get the argument that golfers are better today than yesteryear. More fit, yes. Fit isn't a major issue for golf.

The reason why so many can win is equipment has helped the average tour players so much. They can catch one hot weekend with the flat stick and win. Back in the day you to strike the ball perfectly and putt great to win. You had to play better to win.

Besides spelling van de velde wrong how do you know Webb Simpson won't be a hall of famer? All the people arguing that jack played against guys who won more majors are forgetting the fact their careers are complete while Tigers competitors aren't done adding to their totals. And the fact those older guys have more majors because there was less competition outside of the top 10 to actually win a major

because it was easier to win a major back then. go read my earlier post. the top american golfers didn't play in the British open back then. the pga had 50 pga club pros in the field.

True, but how many of these current guys do you really think will have 4+ majors. One, maybe?
