this thread but sadly I wont be on TD in 15 years. I am willing to bet anything that OKC will suffer 15 years of mediocrity at best post durant and westbrook.
BET ME YOUR SOUL.
You do realize that Sam Presti is still our GM, and loves it here right? You do realize that he took Durant, Westbrook (criticized for this pick), Ibaka, and Harden (criticized for this pick) in the course of 3 drafts right? 4 Olympians.
I literally have no doubt in my mind that Presti, who is a protege of the San Antonio system (he's also the one that discovered Tony Parker), will keep us relevant for a long, long time.
So buckle up, Rocketard.

ya sam presti is a real wizard
durant - 2nd pick
harden-3rd pick
westbrook - 4th pick
wow a real genius
Daryl Morey meanwhile doesn't have top 4 picks to work with yet......
1.trades vasilis spanoulis(who?) for luis scola
2.drafts donte greene 26th , trades him after 1 40 pt summer league game for ron artest in his heyday
3.all after the 30th pick in the draft he drafts chandler parsons, carl landry, chase budinger all became solid NBA players
4.trades a useless TMac for kevin martin who he flips for Harden
not every team can be blessed with 3 years of utter suck to the point of having a top 4 pick in 3 straight drafts....but I assure you daryl morey has done more with less than any GM in the NBA....presti did a fantastic job but top 4 picks certainly help....I will say when the took westbrook over bayless who in all the mocks was projected to that slot ahead of westbrook I shook my head but that move turned out amazing

KD is 3rd in the NBA in endorsement earnings per year.

Are you seriously this fricking stupid?
He got REEMED for both of those picks by alllll of the experts. They were not anywhere close to being gimmes. They were considered huge gambles. Hell, even Durant had question marks surrounding him due to his lack of strength coming out of college.
So yeah, I feel fricking confident with the 37 year old GM, who in his 20s as an intern at San Antonio discovered an unknown at the time Tony Parker, became one of the youngest GMs in the league, and proceeded to have arguably the 3 best drafts in row in NBA history.
You literally have no idea what you are talking about. Now go sit in the corner and do something more productive like play with your special hat:

Both projected to go later than the Thunder picked them.

I was at the game, so I didn't read this shite show of a thread.
Was Delfino posterizing KD as awesome as it looked at the game? All I saw was a bad angle replay. Either way, the place exploded after that.

Westbrook has to be creeping up there somewhere too. He's in a bunch of Jordan commercials and some Foot Locker spots too.

Yeah it was crazy. There's a really funny gif of it a page or two back you'll love.
In my boy KD's defense, at least he hustled back and tried for the block. A guy like Melo would have just got out of the way.

Using mock drafts as "proof".
Fan-fricking-tastic.

Yep. You're dumb. OKC was under heavy scrutiny for pick boy Westbrook and Harden.

Yea, I agree. I even said this at the game after the play. You have to respect him for that.
Anyways, KD has been owning Delfino, so that dunk plus the steal and 3 before the half had to make him feel good.

Looks like harden was slotted 5th in the mock LINK and Westbrook was projected 6th LINK you make it sound like he pulled a rabbit out of his arse and drafted 2 unknowns
And you make it sound like anyone who has watched an hour of basketball would have made those picks.
Also consider it's pretty damn rare for an NBA mock draft to have a "can't miss" player slotted past the 1st or 2nd spot.
shite there are NO "can't miss" players in this years NBA draft.

Can you get ahold of your "boys" TheBigFella & Mattz? They're making you true Rockets fans look pretty damn stupid.

How many times are you going to mention my name? I am in your head. You're another Klark Kent.

I can't believe I am still commenting on this but the fact that he hit on all 4 of those picks over 3 seasons is just fricking unheard of. May never be done again. 3 were All-Stars and all 4 were Olympians.
Hilarious to even attempt to downplay that especially considering the questions surround Westbrook and Harden and the unknown true ability of Ibaka.

Yes man from the Internet whom I don't even know, you are definitely "in my head".

I'm staying out of this...Y'all have fun. I'm looking forward to game 5

Which is why it's so funny and little unsettling.
Btw, some NBA fan you are to have never heard of Jason Collins, a 12-year vet who played in two Finals.

And what a genius you are to pick up on the fact I was being a smart arse by posting "no."
