You cant be serious. Maybe if Bosh plays huge minutes they will be better but Haslem is not on par with Ibaka. He's more of a Perkins. They cancel each other out. Anthony played 2 minutes last night. Collison is the X factor he has been playing great and with the limited amount of minutes Bosh is getting, this is only going to get worse.
You say all this but there were several posters on here the other night saying the Heat bigs will vastly outscore the Thunder's.

He does just fine for a center I think?

He is such a liability on offense. The risk exceeds the reward IMO.
Well most NBA experts think him getting injured is the reason the Celtics ended up losing in 7 to Lakers.

Let's not make this a "Best PG thread"

So easy to use an injury to a starter as an excuse for that type of a situation.

I keep seeing this repeated, but stuff like that cuts both ways. Neither Wade nor Bosh even showed up to the game last night. At least OKC had 2 of their big 3 play really well. Miami had one of their big 3 show up and still had the lead most of the game.
Whichever team has more of their star players actually play well is going to win the series. Right now you have to like OKC in that regard

Haslem doesnt provide the same things that Perkins does. Its close to a wash. Both are good role players. Perkins gives you a little more size and toughness, but no jump shot

Collison was a beast last night. i think he played his most minutes in the playoffs last night, aside from one of the blowouts. That dude has game. He rebounds, passes, defends one on one, brings help defense, takes charges, and he will score if you leave him open. he's like a poor man's kevin love

2010 NBA Finals points scored by Celtics:
With Perkins:
Game 1: 89
Game 2: 103
Game 3: 84
Game 4: 96
Game 5: 92
Without Perkins:
Game 6: 67 FREAKING POINTS. SIXTY-SEVEN. NOT A MISPRINT.
Game 7: 79
Things that make you go,"hmmmmmmmmm"

One bad shooting performance was solely because of Perkins' injury? Okay.

92.8 points per game with Perkins.
73 points per game without Perkins.
Do you want me to keep going in this beat down or will you accept you just don't like Perkins and have some how morphed this disdain into him being a horrible basketball player?

It has nothing to do with whether or not I like Perkins, I just don't think he's good. Points scored from one single series doesn't really solidify any argument you're making either. It's one fricking series. It's like I could go and pull LeBron's stats from last year's Finals and say he sucks in the playoffs.
But yeah, continue on this beat down.

I'd say it's a rather larger sample size between east and west coast teams. Consider this: coming into Game 1 of the Finals Lebron had only faced Durant 9 times since 2007. So yes, 7 games is a very large sample size for those 2 teams.

Huh?
More food for thought:
Celtics FG % with Perkins 46%
Celtics FG % W/O Perkins 37%
Don't understand how you are trying to refute this. They were a completely different team on the offensive side of the ball without your boy "Mr. Offensive Liability"

thats what they used to say about Ben Wallace too. but the guy still contributes to his team on both ends of the court.

Agree to disagree.
Perkins for MVP

If Perkins were on the Heat he would be their starting C.

I really dont think theres a whole lot to say.
Both teams were pretty even and had there highs and lows.
Westbrook just had a better game than Wade, thats what the series will probably come down to. I think you can expect Durant/Lebron to put up these numbers every game and essentially cancel each other out.
Lebron has the capability of completely taking over a game but I'm not sure if we will see that.

+1 These teams don't need (and can't financially afford) a above average+ center.

Has yet to site a single fact as to why Perkins sucks so bad.
Posted on 6/13/12 at 11:46 am to ALcapone
No, it's just saying the Heat centers are absolutely terrible. Perkins could start on a decent amount of teams, but the center position isn't exactly filled with studs.
Posted on 6/13/12 at 11:55 am to KillerNut9
Everyone is looking too much into this, it's going to come down to Lebron/Wade vs Westbrook/Durant and who gets the majority of the calls. Whichever two have the better game will win.
There is no in-depth analysis to any of this.
Neither team has some dramatic mismatch that the other will exploit. Each game will go back and forth the entire time based on who gets hot and who gets cold.
