There's a lot of area between holes that you simply don't see on tv, that has a lot of plant life and other beautiful features. And you can't really see the undulation on tv.

TV doesn't do it justice, as others have said. Especially the contours and elevation changes.
It's a true spectator golf course, where you can get from one side of the course to the other very easily. Plus, it's the best run tournament in the world. My family has tickets, and I'm fortunate to be able to go one day every year.
I've only been one year where it wasn't immaculate, but that was because the course was drenched. Nothing could have kept it looking well with that many spectators on wet ground.
Just don't try to take a piece of the course while you're there. Last year on Sat someone got arrested leaving the course trying to take some sand from the sand trap at 16.
