I'm in first place on tennis.com's bracket challenge after the first round

I'm sure I'll fall off soon though. I think I had Berdych making it to the quarters and Andy going pretty far as well.

Had no idea there was such a thing! Do you just pick winners or also number of sets?

Roddick and Berdych picks probably won't hurt ya too bad. The Roddick pick will be like when Kansas was upset, everyone lost em so no huge blow to anyone.

Bumping b/c Ryan Harrison is on court looking great and up a break in the 3rd.

Just the winners, and it's not actually part of tennis.com. It's something their message board posters put together on a different site.

Yeah, Rafa making his first US Open final is starting to look pretty likely. Only a few of his countrymen and the Wawrinka/Querrey/Youhzny winner standing in his way. I'd like to see another Nadal/Verdasco match

Thoughts on tonight's match?

Fed in 4 is what I got

On a sidenote, fvck the US Open and they're ridiculous start times. It was fvcking after 10 when Rafa's match started last night; that's absurd.

Gotta tell ya, I thought that Verdasco/Ferrer was a barn burner itself.

I'll go with Fed in 4 also, maybe Fed in 3. I think this surface won't be as kind to Soderling. He needs some time for his big windup, which I don't think he'll have on this surface as opposed to his win over Fed at the FO. I expect Fed to be aggresive and step up to take the ball early from the baseline and look to move into the net to finish points.

I think this tourney is Nadal's for the taking at this point though. With his serve clicking and Fed being slightly past his prime I don't see Nadal losing.

Time to get this show on the road! I was praying Wozniacki would win in straight sets; she had me nervous there for a bit but pulled it out.

Let's see some good tennis fellas!

Soderling came to play. I actually think he may be a bigger threat to Nadal in a potential final than Fed would.

Yea this tournament is really weird. Fed shows flashes, but looks like he's past his era. Soderling when he's hitting the lines can blow by anyone. And if Djokovic ever puts together an entire tournament of his best tennis, he'd win this going away IMO.

That was a beautiful drop shot on the break point. Soderling didn't look happy

I agree with you about Djokovic. I didn't get to watch his match today, but it sounds like he dismantled Monfils. If he plays like that against Fed he might finally beat him in NY

Wow, that set flipped in an instant. Soderling looked drunk for Fed's last two service games.

Yeah, I might have been a little early with the Soderling came to play thing. He doesn't look very good. Not a single ace so far

Fed as usual is more composed and compact in his game.

Thus the wind is not affecting him like Soderling.

Plus, he is running Soderling, so if this goes more than 4 it's all Fed.
